This course high­lights the the­or­etical basics of tree care. The seminar is primarily aimed at people who have little or no previous knowledge of tree care.

In man­ageable course modules, par­ti­cipants are taught basic the­or­etical knowledge about tree care, such as

  • Definition of the tree
  • Tree biology
  • Intro­duction to tree species
  • Insights into ZTV tree care
  • Job description of the arborist

  • to convey the requirements of the accident pre­vention reg­u­lations,
  • the chainsaw and other equipment,
  • work assignments under practical con­ditions on the ground,
  • exam­ination to test the knowledge imparted and issue a cer­ti­ficate,
  • tree safety assessment.

Requirements for taking part in the course

  • VALID OCCU­PA­TIONAL HEALTH EXAM­INATION (AMU)
    The occu­pa­tional health exam­ination must be carried out by an occu­pa­tional or company physician. This physician must certify the suit­ability/fitness for “dangerous tree work” in accordance with § 2 VSG 4.2 Social Insurance for Agri­culture, Forestry and Hor­ti­culture. (B45)
  • Pro­tective equipment:_
    Forest safety shoes, safety helmet com­bination, cut pro­tection trousers, work gloves and work jacket in fluor­escent color as well as weatherproof clothing
  • Age of majority

The required health cer­ti­ficates must be presented to the course instructor on Monday BEFORE the start of the course and WITHOUT being requested to do so. Failure to do so will result in exclusion from the course.
